Q:  How are you keeping guests safe during COVID-19?
Guest safety is our top priority.  We are exceeding all COVID-19 local, state and CDC safety, health and cleanliness standards, including 24+ hours between bookings, intense sanitization and disinfecting practices before and after guest stays, and requiring PPE for all staff and vendors.
Q:  What time is Check-In/Check-Out?
            Check-in directly at our office after 3pm - Lux Box Agency, centrally located on El Paseo at 72245 El Paseo, Palm Desert
Check-out by dropping keys off at our office by 11am, please also see check-out prep details in your check-in information packet
Q:  What is your payment policy?
50% deposit upon booking, 50% due 60 days in advance of check-in.
Q:  What does the Damage Insurance cover?
For your convenience, a $49 damage waiver is available to you in lieu of a cash security deposit. This damage waiver covers up to $3000 in accidental damage and is non refundable.
Q: What is your cancelation policy?
We recommend that you purchase travel insurance at the time of your reservation, as we all know that even the best-planned travel can easily be impacted by the unexpected.  If travel insurance has not been purchased, any canceled reservation at least 60 days in advance of your check-in will result in a forfeiture of all monies paid, unless we are able to re-rent the property for the canceled dates. If we are able to successfully re-rent the property for the nights you have canceled, you will receive a refund for the nights re-booked once the guest checks-in.
Q. What amenities are provided?
All of our vacation rentals are fully furnished and have a fully stocked kitchen with amenities including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. A complimentary "starter kit" of basic supplies is provided including; two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, kitchen sponge, hand soap, dish soap and standard cleaning supplies. You are responsible for restocking supplies during your stay.  You may reach out to our reservation specialist to coordinate a grocery delivery during your stay at an additional cost.  
Q:  What is the difference between short term and long term rentals?
Short terms rentals - we also call them vacation or seasonal rentals - are between 1 and 6 months.  Long term rentals or unfurnished rentals are at least one year, with tenant leases.
Q: Do you rent nightly, weekly or monthly?
This depends on the homes' location and governing HOA rules.  Some of our homes are not located in an HOA or gated community and thus have no rules on how long it is rented.  If the homeowner allows it, the those homes can be rented nightly, weekly or monthly.  Each city in the valley has a TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax) that range from 9% to over 11% for homes rented for 30 days or less.  In those instances, the homes must also be permitted with the city in which it is located.  On the other end of the spectrum, are HOA's that require rentals to be more than 30 days.  In those instances, no TOT is charged to the tenant and no city permit is required. 
Q: Do you only work within the Sandpiper community?
No!  We have a fantastic location on El Paseo - our present office was used as the sales office for the Sandpiper community in the 1960s.  Today, we work with property owners and buyers throughout the Coachella Valley.
Q:  Do your agents work in both Sales and Rentals?
We strive hard to create a work environment in which the motivation for each agent is customer service.  In order to achieve this, we encourage our agents to specialize in either Sales or Rentals - not both.

Q: Non Smoking Policy
All properties managed by Lux Box Agency are non-smoking.  Please respect the property and do not smoke inside and ensure all windows and doors are closed if/when smoking outside of the property.
